Sophie Tostevin
(Founder of Salt Naturopathy and Clinical Naturopath BHSc)
I’m a degree-qualified Naturopath and the founder of Salt Naturopathy.
My passion lies in helping individuals uncover the root cause of their health concerns through functional pathology and testing, alongside tailored, evidence-based treatment plans. Rather than simply managing symptoms, I focus on understanding why they are occurring and supporting long-term, sustainable health outcomes.
My areas of special interest include reproductive health, pregnancy and postpartum care, skin health, mental wellbeing, gut health, and vaginal health. I’m particularly passionate about supporting women to heal their relationship with food and their bodies, especially when health challenges have created frustration or disconnection.
I don’t believe in perfection or all-or-nothing approaches to health, and I don’t expect my clients to live a perfectly healthy life. Instead, my goal is to help you feel informed, supported, and confident in your health journey, with care that is realistic, compassionate, and sustainable.

FAQs
-
Your initial consultation is a comprehensive, one-on-one session focused on understanding you as a whole person, not just your symptoms.
We’ll explore your current health concerns, medical history, digestive health, hormones, stress, sleep, nutrition, and lifestyle, as well as any relevant pathology or previous testing. This allows me to identify potential underlying drivers of your symptoms rather than simply managing them on the surface.
Following your consultation, you’ll receive a personalised, evidence-based treatment plan. This may include nutrition and lifestyle guidance, herbal medicine, supplements, and where appropriate - recommendations for pathology and functional testing. All care is tailored, realistic, and designed to fit into your life.
-
Online consultations are conducted via secure video call and are just as thorough as in-person appointments.
Before your session, you’ll complete an intake form and upload any relevant test results. During the consultation, we’ll discuss your health concerns in detail as well as your previous medical and health history
Prescriptions and treatment recommendations are provided digitally, and any supplements or herbal medicines prescribed can be organised for delivery.
-
Once you book, you’ll receive an intake form to complete beforehand. Bringing recent blood tests, results, or a list of current medications and supplements is also helpful.
-
This depends on your health goals and how long symptoms have been present. Some people notice improvements within weeks, while more complex or chronic conditions often require ongoing support over several months.
-
Absolutely. Naturopathy works best using a collaborative approach. I encourage collaboration with your existing healthcare providers and work alongside any medications you are currently taking.
